Q24. How doth Christ execute the office of a prophet?

Christ executeth the office of a prophet, in revealing to us, by his Word and Spirit the will of God for our salvation.

John 1:18 — [18] No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
1 Pet. 1:10-12 — [10] Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, [11] inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. [12] It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.
John 15:15 — [15] No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
John 20:31 — [31] but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
