Westminster Shorter Catechism

Q103. What do we pray for in the third petition?

In the third petition, which is, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven, we pray, that God, by his grace, would make us able and willing to know, obey, and submit to his will in all things, as the angels do in heaven.

  2. 7 passages are cited here. Which does the most work, and is anything claimed that the proofs do not obviously carry?
  3. WLC Q178 treats the same ground. What does it add, and why might it put things differently?
  4. WLC Q192 treats the same ground. What does it add, and why might it put things differently?
