Q63. What are the special privileges of the visible church?

The visible church hath the privilege of being under God's special care and government; of being protected and preserved in all ages, not withstanding the opposition of all enemies; and of enjoying the communion of saints, the ordinary means of salvation, and offers of grace by Christ to all the members of it in the ministry of the gospel, testifying, that whosoever believes in him shall be saved, and excluding none that will come unto him.

• Acts 2:39,42 — [39] For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” [42] And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
• Ps. 147:19-20 — [19] He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and rules to Israel. [20] He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know his rules. Praise the LORD!
• Rom. 9:4 — [4] They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises.
• Eph. 4:11-12 — [11] And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, [12] to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
