William Price

Biography

Welsh-born and Oxford-trained, Price was minister of the English Reformed Church in Amsterdam from 1641 — the major Reformed exile congregation in the Netherlands — while also being named to the Westminster Assembly. His position straddled two ministries: he attended Assembly sessions during English visits but spent most of his time at the Begijnhofkerk in Amsterdam, which he held until his death in 1666. He was a steady moderate Presbyterian voice and one of the few Welsh-born Assembly members.
